- We believe that the Bible, consisting exclusively of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments (Hebrew: Tanach and Brit Hachadasha), was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit,[1] was inerrant in the original manuscripts, was then and is today the authoritative Word of God,[2] alone infallible in all matters of faith and doctrine;[3] God’s complete and final revelation to man until the Messiah returns.[4]
- We believe that there is but one God,[5] eternally existent in three persons equal in essence: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,[6] who is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent, infinite and perfect, and who created all that exists except for Himself.[7] We affirm that He loves all men and is the rewarder of all those who diligently seek Him.[8]
- We believe that the Son,[9] Yeshua, is the divine Word,[10] the eternal wisdom of God[11] by whom all things were created,[12] and at the appointed time became man,[13] begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of Miriam in her virginity,[14] and is true man as well as true God.[15] He lived a sinless life; perfectly fulfilling the Torah, yet willingly died for man’s sin as a sacrifice of atonement;[16] was buried and rose bodily from the dead on the third day, being seen of many witnesses.[17] He ascended to the Father to continue His intercessory work for believers[18] and will return bodily and visibly to receive to Himself all believers both the dead and the living.[19] In all these things He fulfills the words of the prophets. We affirm His miracles and teachings.
- We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit of God,[20] whose work on earth is to convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness and judgment,[21] to draw men to know God and to reveal the person and work of Yeshua.[22] The Spirit of God regenerates the believer in Yeshua,[23] applying to him the Messiah’s atoning work;[24] and, indwelling him at the moment of salvation, enables him to live a sanctified life.[25] We affirm that the Holy Spirit dwells in the community of the saved,[26] imparting His gifts and ministries for the edification of the believers and the glorification of God.[27]
- We believe that the first man, Adam, created male and female in the image of God,[28] sinned by disobeying God’s command, and consequently experienced both physical and spiritual death.[29] Because of Adam’s sin, all men have guilt imputed; all men sin and all are subject to the same penalty.[30] No man is righteous before God and can never be so, except through the saving work of Yeshua the Messiah.[31] Repentance and regeneration (new birth) by the Holy Spirit are essential for that salvation,[32] which includes the remission of sins, the imputation of Yeshua’s righteousness, and the gift of eternal life received by faith alone, apart from works.[33]
- We believe that the congregation of God consists of all those who are regenerated (born again); baptized by the Spirit of God[34] into the body of Messiah at the time of regeneration.[35] This body is comprised of both Jews and Gentiles made spiritually one by the sacrifice of Yeshua;[36] the dividing wall of hostility between Jew and Gentile having been destroyed by Messiah’s sacrifice.[37] We therefore encourage cooperative unity in our diversities of expression.[38] We affirm that the ordinances of the local congregation are water immersion and the Lord’s Supper, until He returns.[39] We affirm that Yeshua instructed the congregation to go into the entire world[40] and preach the gospel to every person, baptizing and teaching those who believe.[41]
- We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Yeshua;[42] that it will be bodily, personal and visible to all;[43] that He will sit as righteous judge of all the earth;[44] that both the saved and the lost will be resurrected from the dead;[45] they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of condemnation.[46] We affirm that Israel is and will continue to remain an elect nation in the redemptive plan of God,[47] although at this present time, she is in unbelief.[48] We affirm that God will purify that nation,[49] bringing the true House of Israel[50] to repentance and recognition of Yeshua as King and Messiah;[51] will restore her completely to her ancient land as promised in His covenants to her,[52] and that she will fully take up her role as a light to the nations after her national salvation.[53] We affirm that the kingdom of God will include all those who lived before the sacrifice of Yeshua, yet lived holy lives, believing God as Abraham did.[54] We affirm that God will bring all creation to the revelation of the sons of God, releasing it from the corruption that now rests upon it;[55] and will bring about the eventual end of this present world and the creation of new heavens and new earth.[56]
